James O’Reilly is the founder of Buddy Advisory, a People & Talent consultancy dedicated to supporting startups and emerging businesses to thrive. James leverages his extensive experience in Talent Acquisition and HR/People Operations to help founders and entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of growth and build thriving teams. Outside of work, James enjoys mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and inspiring others to turn their ideas into impactful ventures.
Prior to Buddy, James spent 8 years at Xero where he led a 40 strong Talent Acquisition team. Located in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, The UK & The U.S, his team supported and enabled Xero’s incredible growth story; from cloud accounting software start-up to leading global small business platform with over 4million subscribers and 4,000+ employees committed to making life better for people in small business, their advisors and communities around the world
