Building High Potential Teams & Leaders | Energy Over Hustle

In 2023, Christian Miran designed and led Australia’s first successful Fifth Day program (a 4-day work week initiative) at a top ASX-listed company – reimagining how work can serve both people and productivity. After strong gains in retention, engagement, wellbeing and output, he scaled the project to 500 participants, unlocking 24,000 days of life-changing potential for employees and their families.
As Chief Disruptor at Thrive Nation, Christian has spent two decades awakening dormant potential, helping companies rediscover their humanity, purpose and performance. He has worked with leading brands like Culture Amp, SEEK, GE, Medibank, Open Universities Australia and Simplot – across education, finance, healthcare and FMCG – creating cultures where people shift from surviving to thriving.
Working with Christian isn’t about implementing another framework or system; he strips away what doesn’t work to reveal what does. Through dynamic experiences and storytelling, he guides executives and teams through transformations that once seemed impossible, helping them find courage in uncertainty and strength in vulnerability.
Through Thrive Nation, Christian is leading a movement to revolutionize how Australia works: 100,000 Australians reclaiming their Fifth Day by 2027 – 4 million days transformed from workplace routine into family time, passion projects, personal growth and community impact. Beyond the Fifth Day, he partners with organizations to pioneer new ways of working, cultivating leadership and building the capabilities needed for the future of work.
Christian Miran and Alana Bennett share why building a truly future-ready workforce isn’t about predicting what’s next, but about cultivating adaptability, continuous learning, and human-centered “power skills.” They highlight how creating a culture of growth, supported by thoughtful use of AI, is the key to helping people thrive in an unpredictable future.
Council members Alana Bennett and Christian Miran draw on their experience in people strategy and workforce transformation to reframe the idea of preparing for the future of work. In this session, they share why “future-proofing” is no longer enough and how future-building through adaptability, resilience, and continuous learning is what truly equips organizations to thrive.
Transformational Guide, Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council member, and Chief Disruptor at Thrive Nation, Christian Miran, shares his insights on why traditional, controlling management is failing in today’s evolving workplace and why trust is important in leadership today.
