At Mentorloop, we’ve always believed in the life-changing power of mentoring. We believe that creating meaningful connections is the key to driving genuine engagement in the workplace and enhancing the employee experience. Now, we’re taking this vision a step further with the launch of the Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council.
What is the Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council?
The Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council is a local, intimate network for industry thought leaders with a passion for enhancing the employee experience by sharing and expanding their expertise through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The council brings together a select group of senior thought leaders in the People & Culture space in Mentorloop’s home—Melbourne. This intimate network is designed to foster collaboration, spark new ideas, and share expertise, all with a singular goal: to improve workplaces by enhancing the employee experience and building a culture of mentoring.
Mentorloop CEO and co-founder, Lucy Lloyd, says, “The Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council embodies our mission to foster constructive connection and drive genuine workplace engagement. It’s also a unique opportunity to keep our ear to the ground through direct collaboration with people experts, exchanging experiences of the evolving themes and challenges within People & Culture.”
“We built this council to be more than just another industry group” co-founder and COO, Heidi Holmes adds. “We wanted to stay true to the heart of Mentorloop’s mission which is to create meaningful human connections. It’s a space for us to refresh our local networks and engage in some peer mentoring among experts in different areas of the People & Culture industry.”
Starting small, at home
We decided to launch this council in the home of Mentorloop – Melbourne. Along with that, we also decided to keep it within Melbourne for now.
By keeping it local, we are able to see things from the perspective of local leaders and ideate based on the needs of what’s happening at the coal face. And by keeping it intimate, with the opportunity to connect in person, we create a space for trust and a real expectation of seeing things through from ideas to execution.
Of course, we’d love to expand this. However, we felt it was important to first establish a core council in our local area and make an impact where we live and work before hopefully growing to more key locations in the future.
The Inaugural Council Members
We are proud to have these 7 Melbourne thought leaders as the inaugural members of the Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council.

We have some exciting plans for working with the Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council in 2025. Together with the council, we’ll tackle select key themes and pressing issues in the Australian People & Culture space. We’re excited to leverage the knowledge from the Mentorloop Industry Advisory Council via quarterly learning sessions and webinars that we hope you’ll join us for.
