LEAD Network (Leading Executives Advancing Diversity) is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to attracting, retaining, and advancing women in the retail and consumer goods sector across Europe. With 25,000 members and 60+ corporate partners, their mission is to create workplaces where everyone can thrive.
Mentoring has been at the heart of that mission since 2016.
LEAD Network’s mentoring program began with strong intent—but weak tools.
“We were struggling with administration. We knew mentoring had huge potential, but without structure and support, it was hard to take it further.”
LEAD Network needed a platform to remove manual bottlenecks and give more women access to high-quality mentoring.
Since adopting Mentorloop, LEAD Network has scaled mentoring into one of its largest and most impactful programs:
“Mentorloop has significantly transformed how we administer the program. It’s simplified coordination, made matching easier, and allowed us to expand our reach to many more individuals.”
Mentoring isn’t just about connections—it’s delivering measurable professional growth:
“Our program creates deep value. It’s not just about temporary matching—it creates lasting networks and career growth.”
The program is unique in its cross-company design, ensuring that women are matched beyond their own organizations to gain broader networks and perspectives.
Key accessibility initiatives include:
Mentorloop’s platform gave LEAD Network the tools to scale without losing quality:

LEAD Network is rebranding its mentoring program as BOOST, complete with new branding, logos, and communication strategy. They plan to:

“Mentoring is no longer just a program—it’s our most powerful lever for advancing women in retail and consumer goods. With Mentorloop, we’ve scaled from 8 pairs to over 400, and the impact is felt across the entire industry.

What Role Does Equity and Equality Play in Your Mentoring Program?
The right mentoring program should level the playing field to empower entire cohorts of people: workplaces, member associations, social groups and educational institutions. Equality should be a cherished value so that every individual can thrive—whoever they are, whatever their background, however they worship or whomever they love. But we can’t arrive at equality without it’s often forgotten partner, equity.

What does a Mentoring Program Coordinator do?
Being a Mentoring Program Coordinator is an incredibly rewarding experience that positively impacts the lives of many. And while mentoring programs don’t fully run themselves (even though Mentorloop can do a great deal of the heavy lifting!), they do require a point of contact that can steer the program in the right direction for the organisation that is running one.

Building Quality Feedback Into Mentoring Relationships
This is Part 8 of our 10-part series on the 10 Key Qualities and Habits of a Highly Effective Mentor.
In this post, we’ll look at how mentors can successfully build quality feedback into their mentoring. Quality feedback is priceless because it clarifies expectations, helps people learn from their mistakes, and builds confidence. It also allows mentees to more effectively take what their mentors say and turn it into action.
