Veritext Legal Solutions is North America’s leader in litigation and deposition support, providing court reporting, videography, advanced legal technologies, and state-of-the-art facilities. With thousands of employees across the U.S. and Canada, Veritext is committed to not only delivering excellence to clients, but also nurturing and developing its people.
Recognizing that employees were often siloed within their own regions and had limited exposure to leaders across the business, Veritext launched its Feed it Forward mentorship program to connect emerging leaders with senior mentors — supporting succession planning and creating opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Four years ago, Veritext had no formal mentoring program. Employees ready to grow were often limited to technical training, with little access to broader leadership development or cross-regional networks.
This created:
As Michelle Knowlton, Senior Program Manager, explained:
“We had identified potential leaders who were almost ready to make the leap — but they needed a little extra support to get them there. That’s where mentorship came in.”
Partnering with Mentorloop, Veritext designed a structured 6-month program where employees could be matched with leaders outside of their reporting line. This cross-regional, cross-functional matching allowed employees to gain new perspectives, build leadership skills, and feel more connected to the wider organisation.
Key program features included:
The results of Feed it Forward have been transformative.
One participant shared:
“It’s impacted me in so many ways. Professionally, I tackle situations differently and personally, I’ve learned to put time into myself, which helps me be a better leader.”
For Veritext, Mentorloop provided the structure and scalability they needed:
From a company with no mentoring infrastructure to one now running a high-impact, scalable program, Veritext has demonstrated how mentoring can unlock leadership potential and strengthen culture. With Mentorloop, they’ve turned succession planning into a people-powered growth strategy, creating a generation of leaders ready to feed it forward.

What Role Does Equity and Equality Play in Your Mentoring Program?
The right mentoring program should level the playing field to empower entire cohorts of people: workplaces, member associations, social groups and educational institutions. Equality should be a cherished value so that every individual can thrive—whoever they are, whatever their background, however they worship or whomever they love. But we can’t arrive at equality without it’s often forgotten partner, equity.
What does a Mentoring Program Coordinator do?
Being a Mentoring Program Coordinator is an incredibly rewarding experience that positively impacts the lives of many. And while mentoring programs don’t fully run themselves (even though Mentorloop can do a great deal of the heavy lifting!), they do require a point of contact that can steer the program in the right direction for the organisation that is running one.
