It’s time for another Mentorloop product update! Here’s our Co-Founder and CEO Lucy Lloyd to walk you through what we launched recently and what’s coming soon.

Notes 📝

You asked, we listened! Mentorloop Notes has finally arrived!

This was one of the most requested features from our mentors and mentees and now it’s here!

Notes are a great way to deepen mentoring relationships, make mentoring sessions more productive, and to monitor your progress so we wanted to make sure our mentors and mentees had access to an easy and organized way of taking and keeping mentoring notes.

Now, mentors and mentees have the ability to compose, share, and review rich mentoring notes. You can use them to prepare for and review your meetings, monitor and reflect on your progress, or capture key session ideas and lessons.

You can create notes directly from your Loop screen from scratch or use one of our helpful templates. You can also attach them to relevant meetings, share them with your mentoring partner within your Loop, or keep them strictly private for your own reference.

We’re just a couple of weeks out from launch and we’ve already had over 500 Notes created in Mentorloop, and we’re getting lots of positive feedback! So we encourage you to pop over to your Mentorloop dashboard and try it out!

New and Improved Group Loops 🤝

As our customers’ mentoring cultures grow, we find that there is an increasing appetite to go beyond the traditional one-to-one mentoring. So, we’ve improved Group Loops!

It’s now easier than ever to create group mentoring opportunities in any mentoring program. Program coordinators can now easily create Group Loops and set access controls that fit with their mentoring goals. Group Loops can now be:

  • Public: open to anyone to join
  • Private: visible to everyone but requires program admin approval to join
  • Hidden: invite-only and cannot be seen by other participants

So if you’re a program coordinator who wants to build a peer mentoring circle or collect a mentoring group around a common goal, the new Group Loops will help you provide more mentoring opportunities to your people. And, for mentors and mentees, this new experience will help you access more networking opportunities, mentoring connections, and empower you to continue building your Personal Advisory Boards!

The new Group Loops experience is now live so program coordinators can now build new Group Loops to provide more mentoring opportunities for your people. For ideas and best practice tips, check out our comprehensive guide to group mentoring.

And if you’re a program participant, you can now browse, discover and join new groups that fit your interests and professional goals!

Coming Soon: Loop Makeover 💅

The Loop is the home of a mentoring relationship so we want to make sure that mentors and mentees have the best experience.

The loop is jam-packed with features like chat, notes, meetings, goal-setting, and more and this makeover will make those features easier to access and the whole experience more engaging. Also, with the recent launch of our app we’re designing it mobile-first.

This means Mentorloop will be even more useful to mentors and mentees, showing them exactly where they are and what they should do next, as well as creating better reporting for program coordinators.

So keep an eye out – we expect to launch the new Loop experience in July.

So that’s it!

Stay tuned for the next product update in a couple of months. In the meantime, if you’re keen to build and launch your own mentoring program, check out our guide or download our toolkit.
