a slowing global economy, new technologies, more assertive regulation, and more

A Global Economic Slump
the International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects the world economy to grow at no more than 3.0%  while global inflation and interest rates are expected to drop.

New Tech and Trends
The rise of generative AI, embedded finance, open data, digitization of money, decarbonization, digital identity, etc. will heavily influence how institutions operate and service customers. Fraud is also expected to grow in 2024.

Disruptive External Forces
More assertive regulations, climate change, and geopolitical tensions are going to be key drivers behind changes in the financial services industry. Bank leaders will focus on proposed regulatory changes to capital, liquidity, and risk management for US banks.

While there are different ways to set your teams up to face these challenges successfully, mentoring is critical as it builds skills that workshops and classes are less effective at teaching.

Creative Problem Solving
New sets of challenges require new and creative solutions. And learning how to explore creative solutions is best learned by interacting with other people with diverse perspectives.

Agility
New and unique challenges coupled with the breakneck speed that things move nowadays get you to a situation where teams will need to respond quickly. Mentoring is key to learning how to do just that without sacrificing efficacy and efficiency.

Amplifying Soft Skills
Soft skills like active listening, conflict management, and collaboration tactics are extremely valuable, especially during uncertain times. These skills are strengthened through interactions with peers through initiatives like mentor programs.

Mentorloop allows us to have a great program with little overhead cost. Additionally, it has improved cross-discipline connections across our North and South American offices. Our previous mentoring programs have all lost momentum until we adopted Mentorloop as our tool.
