Prior to mentorloop, our Fellowship program ran simply via email. We would match our Fellows and mentors via email and trust that they were engaging with each other.
Because of this, we lacked an understanding of engagement and had no oversight into the progress of our Fellows. We also lacked a sense of community between our fellows.
Mentorloop has now become an essential tool in our Fellowship program.
As the Program Coordinator, I am constantly on the dashboard looking at the engagement and progress of our Fellows. I find the Mentoring Quality Score and Sentiment system extremely helpful.
We have also been able to create loops ourselves within Mentorloop which has been essential. Throughout the Fellowship program, we split the fellows not only into their mentoring partnership but also into working groups for a project.
Having multiple loops is key in keeping them engaged and also allowing me to communicate with them easily. It assists me with my work, being able to go in and immediately see who is in what group and I can send a message quickly.
Our Sentiment comments between both Fellows and mentors are beautiful to read. This is my favorite part about Mentorloop.
I love seeing the positive feedback coming from both the fellows and the mentors. To date, there have been no responses below 4 stars and all comments are extremely positive. I can see right in front of me, the impact that participating in a Mentorloop Mentoring Program has.
Mentorloop has taken our Fellowship program to another level, and we are extremely grateful for this.
Our Mentoring Quality Score (MQS) is a reflection of our hard-working Fellows and Mentors and also the fantastic program that is Mentorloop.
When first using Mentorloop it proved the be a focus point for the fellows. It allowed them to find documents to take into their meetings and assist them with building confidence in their mentoring meetings. It has been a fantastic tool for Roads Australia.
Prior to this we had no oversight into whether our Fellows and Mentors were actually meeting. We had cases where pairings did not meet at all and we had no oversight until it was too late. This has been an essential tool and will continue to be in the future.
We have every intention of continuing to use Mentorloop. I would like to utilize the Recommended Readings more. This is such a fantastic resource for the fellows and really adds another layer to their program.

What Role Does Equity and Equality Play in Your Mentoring Program?
The right mentoring program should level the playing field to empower entire cohorts of people: workplaces, member associations, social groups and educational institutions. Equality should be a cherished value so that every individual can thrive—whoever they are, whatever their background, however they worship or whomever they love. But we can’t arrive at equality without it’s often forgotten partner, equity.
What does a Mentoring Program Coordinator do?
Being a Mentoring Program Coordinator is an incredibly rewarding experience that positively impacts the lives of many. And while mentoring programs don’t fully run themselves (even though Mentorloop can do a great deal of the heavy lifting!), they do require a point of contact that can steer the program in the right direction for the organisation that is running one.
Building Quality Feedback Into Mentoring Relationships
This is Part 8 of our 10-part series on the 10 Key Qualities and Habits of a Highly Effective Mentor.
In this post, we’ll look at how mentors can successfully build quality feedback into their mentoring. Quality feedback is priceless because it clarifies expectations, helps people learn from their mistakes, and builds confidence. It also allows mentees to more effectively take what their mentors say and turn it into action.
