Welcome to the NSW Director of Nursing and Midwifery Mentoring Program
This program is designed to give you the opportunity to connect with other leaders and form mutually beneficial mentorships. For mentees – this is an opportunity to learn, develop, and shape your own career through the real-world experience of an executive mentor. For mentors – this is an opportunity to contribute to the professional development of NSW Health senior leaders, further develop your leadership skills and expand your professional networks.
*To apply as a Mentee you must be currently performing in a DoNM role in NSW Health. To apply as a Mentor you must be an executive leader with a proven track record of achievment in your industry.
“Colleagues are a wonderful thing – but mentors, that’s where the real work gets done.” — Junot Diaz

How does matching work?
Matching is facilitated by NSW Health staff, using the information you provide in the recruitment form above.
This program is designed to help empower our staff and grow the skills of participants through the natural coaching outcomes of a mentoring partnership.
What is Mentorloop and how will it help me?
- Mentorloop is a platform which helps NSW Health to connect mentors and mentees and provides them a place to communicate.
- Mentorloop will help NSW Health match you with a mentor/mentee who has a complimentary location/skills/background to you
- You have access to a resource hub full of helpful hints, tips and tools, so that you get the most from the relationship when you need it.
- To help you, Mentorloop will store correspondence relevant to your mentoring relationship in your Mentor/Mentee ‘Loop’ for easy reference.
What are the time requirements?
You can discuss with your mentoring partner how often you’d like to catch up; however, we recommend a quick coffee catch up / meeting at least once every 4 to 6 weeks to get the full benefits of mentorship.
