Accessibility – Our Approach
Last updated: July 2019
We believe the right connections can change your life, and that those connections should be available to everyone. Therefore Mentorloop is committed to making mentoring, and therefore our websites, as accessible as possible.
We are striving to comply with the WCAG 2.0 standard, to A level initially, and eventually on to AA level compliance. Some aspects of our platform will already be compliant to AAA. It is a process that we’re committed to. (WCAG 2.0 is a technical standard developed under the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).)
Making mentoring connections happen naturally requires that our end users – mentors and mentees – upload their own content including copy, documents and images – into the Mentorloop platform. We cannot always guarantee the accessibility of this content, but we provide tools to our end users to help them add meaningful labels to items they upload, that can then be accessed by screen readers.
If any information or service provided by Mentorloop is inaccessible to you, or you are experiencing problems accessing content for any reason, please reach out and tell us about it on firstname.lastname@example.org
